Thermospot: Comments from medical journals, (PDF)

Thermospot is an adhesive plastic disk 12mm across which shows whether newborn babies are suffering from hypothermia, which may be fatal if undetected. Treated with a temperature-sensitive chemical compound, a Thermospot disk, placed on a newborn baby, changes colour to indicate whether the child has hypothermia — in which case the disk stays black — or indicates a healthy temperature by turning green. In this PDF => medical personnel state its benefits in fieldwork.
